About The Banking Scene Conference 2018

The Banking Scene 2018, May 8, Tour & Taxis in Brussels.

Reconnect with +300 banking and fintech professionals at Belgium’s foremost retail banking conference. Open banking, financial technology, digitalization and customer-centric services are just a few of the agenda topics.

This year’s event will be larger. More renowned speakers, workshops, exhibitors … more content to help you tackle challenges and support the future of banking.

Track 1

Open Banking - Beyond Payments

PSD2 is designed to modernise the financial industry. Banks are implementing the directive right now, but what will PSD2 truly mean in the long term?

Forrester Research states that open banking blows apart the insular nature of many banks and will transform the banking landscape. This will take a decade or so, but the seeds of change are being sown now.

Track 2

Regtech in Banking

The technology to ease the regulatory and compliance pressure

According to International Banker, regtech involves using new technology to more effectively meet regulatory requirements. It emerged as a force following the rapid development of fintech, which is proving to have a remarkably disruptive impact on financial services.

Blockchain Use Cases

Blockchain is quickly evolving from hype to reality. Blockchain-based transactions are built on trust and collaboration between stakeholders, whether it’s in trade finance, payments or in clearing & settlement processes. This has been translated in initiatives like R3, Digital Trade Chain, Easy Trading Connect and many more.
